Sonita Dickerson, BSN, RN
Sonita Dickerson is a Registered Nurse and the founder of Nursegivers™, a concierge nursing service dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate health needs with confidence, dignity, and compassion. With a background in critical care nursing and home-based care coordination, Sonita brings both clinical expertise and a deeply personal approach to supporting individuals who wish to recover safely and age comfortably in their own homes.
Sonita earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and holds a multi-state Registered Nurse license through the Georgia Board of Nursing. Her clinical experience includes caring for patients with complex neurological conditions, post-surgical recovery needs, and acute medical concerns. Through this work, she developed strong skills in patient assessment, critical care monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing her to guide families through some of the most challenging moments in healthcare.
In addition to her hospital experience, Sonita has extensive experience coordinating care for individuals receiving services in the home environment. In this role, she conducted comprehensive intake assessments, performed supervisory visits, updated care plans, and educated caregivers and families on strategies to promote safety, comfort, and quality of life. Her work required close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, careful attention to regulatory standards, and thoughtful communication with families navigating complex care decisions.
Sonita is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and has a special interest in supporting individuals experiencing memory changes and helping families better understand the evolving needs associated with dementia and aging. She is passionate about promoting safety, independence, and meaningful connection for older adults while offering families reassurance and professional guidance.
Through Nursegivers™, Sonita combines clinical knowledge with a concierge approach to care, offering personalized nursing support designed to complement the care plan established by physicians and healthcare providers. Her goal is to serve the community with empathy, integrity, and professionalism while helping individuals maintain independence and peace of mind at home.
Looking ahead, Sonita hopes to expand her work in the field of aging services and further strengthen her ability to guide families through the complexities of healthcare, aging, and long-term wellness planning.
